Pinging Your Blog

If you are realatively new to the blogging world then there may be a couple of things you should be aware of.

A lot of people use Wordpress.com or Blogger.com to setup their blog sites.  There are a few minor differences between the two that you may not be aware of initially.

Wordpress, during the intial setup, asks you what sites you want to send your blog to.  If you check the list of boxes during the setup phase, everytime you create and publish a blog Wordpress will send it to all those sites you choose.  You don't need to do anythig the system will handle it after each post.  It is very simple and easy to do.

On the other hand, when you post a blog on Blogger.com or Blogger.com blog you must ping it everytime.  Don't be scared, this is an easy thing to do.  A service called Ping-O-Matic can do this for you.  The purpose is to notify other directories and search engines that your blog exists.  So, if you use Blogger.com it is imperative that you go to Ping-O-Matic and ping it after you have written each new blog.

When setting this up on Ping-O-Matic you will only need your URL, select the services you want to ping and click the "ping" button only once and you are done.

A Fast Strategy to Get Site Traffic-PPC

Most people want traffic and they want it fast.  There is nothing more discouraging than promoting a product and getting zero sales.

I think you need to focus on a few strategies that are proven to work well and ones that are fast.  Some don't even require a website, but to be really effective you should have one.  PPC is a great strategy to explore.

PPC Marketing is Pay Per Click and is one of the fastest and riskiest ways to generate sales.  There are some tricks to be aware of to avoid digging a financial hole.

Google Adwords is one of the best PPC engines.  You can buy these ads from Google by writing an ad and bidding on keywords to determine what you will pay when someone clicks on your ad.  The more you bid the higher up the list of ads your ad will appear.

You must be careful not to pay too much.  Google has a tool to tell you although you still have to be cautious.  People can click on your ad and not buy which costs you money.

There is a term (CTR) Click-Through-Rate that describes how many clicks you get on your ad compared to how many times the ads are shown. The conversion rate describes what proportion of clicks actually buy.You definitely need to watch this or you will quickly run up some costs.  Do have a daily budget and stick to it until you have some data.  You want a high conversion rate.  If you have a high CTR and low conversion, it is a good way to go out of business.

Remember, when you sign up for PPC be cautious about the estimated cost per click provided by Google.  They are trying to get you to pay more per click than you need to.  Try a few bids and monitor the results by using key words that hopefully get you a large number of clicks and conversions.

Adwords or any other PPC engine is not something to be afraid of.  It is a wonderful tool but something to be careful with.  There are some key strategies to make it work effectively.  Good Luck!!!

The Keys of Affiliate Marketing

For those of you who have come upon a successful affiliate marketer, it is interesting to note that they have the unique ability to practically print money at any time.  In other words, they have the ability to promote others products and convert the sales into sizeable commissions.
Does it sound too good to be true?  This is what an affiliate is about.
The neat thing about affiliate marketing is that anyone can make consistent and incredible profits without a whole lot of work in as little as 2-3 weeks.
This means that you can start with nothing and make some cash without having your own products, website or write a single original ad or copy.
This is what is so nice for Newbies.  They can start very quickly by promoting someone's product and be in business very quickly with very little cost.  It gives them the opportunity to learn on their own time and to earn profits while learning the entire process about blogs, website construction and advertising.
Affiliate marketing is the best starting point.  One can promote many products within the same product category by using a single website.  In a lot of cases the Gurus in the business will provide all the training for a small cost.  I do recommend you doing this.  Like any business, some initial thought must be given before jumping head first into a product.
Not considering these things can result in wasted time, resources and money.
1. Know your target market.
To get started quickly, you must first identify and target your market. Whether you choose a Niche market or a large market with a lot of competition, you must give people what they want.  Many beginners commit the mistake of not servicing the buyer with what he wants.
The result is no buyer and no sales for your business.  It is plain simple that people will not buy something that they are not in need of.  It is best to find your audience first to maximize your time and commissions.
 2. Use high quality affiliate products or services.
The number two mistake that affiliate marketers make is promoting an inferior product.  It just does not tantalyze or excite the buyer.  It is best to try the product and or service to lend some credibility to your recommendations.  You can personally give them feedback about the products.
3. Have an effective Sales Letter
Spend some time and checkout the affiliate's website and sales copy before you send any traffic over to them.  Is the sales copy compelling to make you want to buy?  Does it make you want to read on and inquire about the price?  Try to find out the conversion rates and traffic volume. This is important once people get to their site.
Read the Squeeze page carefully. Would you be willing to buy the product or get their services.  If you answer positively to this question then other people will too.  It would be a waste of time to spend the money and time to get everything up and running and find out that it has poor traffic. Consider your impression of the site first.
4. Find out if the Affiliate promotes his site and has materials available.
Most affiliate programs provide their affiliates with tools like banners and sales language to be used in marketing. The better the  tools given, the more chances of you making that sale.
Since the materials are already made for you, you can focus more on the marketing aspects. Having good tools also results in more opportunities to get the sales message to your customers.
5. Know if your affiliate product has profitability.
The last thing but most important thing you must consider is how much you will be paid in relation to your promotional efforts and advertising costs. A higher commission percentage from the Affiliate can be a huge motivation to place higher focus on class of products.
Always try to seek out products with a huge commission or those products that present residual income. You will always want to monitor your time and effort to the outcome.  Eliminate the losers and focus on the winners.
These five tips above are just some of the important factors to consider in affiliate marketing.
If you want to become like the super affiliates that bank huge checks and move a lot of traffic you need to continuously educate yourself about all the methods available for continued success.  It is a building process that requires learning from these Gurus who provide a lot of e-books on what it takes.
One of the best Super Gurus and one who has an easy to learn system for Newbies and above is enclosed on the link.

6 Important Tips for Building Commissions

What separates some online affiliates from making huge commissions as opposed to others? Some are very successful and others are not.

This article presents six important tips that any online marketer can use to increase his commissions as an affiliate marketer.

1. First, you need to build a simple site where you promote several affiliate programs for your niche.  By focusing on one niche you can still offer several affiliate products.  This allows the visitor to pick and choose from this niche thus allowing you to profit from the increased sales.

2. Start to publish your own e-zine. This will allow you to begin to build a list of subscribers. This will give you a list to promote your affiliate products to on a regular basis.

3. Put a marketing budget together to advertise your affiliate products.  This may be through Pay Per Click (PPC) or some other ads or promotions. Then track your expenses and determine which is the most effective.

4. Continue to carry out product reviews of all the affiliate programs you promote.  Tell what you like best about the various programs.  You can do this on your blog which will help drive traffic to you or your affiliates website.  You can also have a section on your website that lists your favorite programs along with a brief summary of the products and their services.  Make sure that you give an honest and fair appraisal of the product.

5. Give away some type of freebie.  These freebies should have your affiliate links in them. You can give away free reports, articles, e-books or a product review.  You can also encourage your website visitors to pass your reports on to their friends or distribute to their lists.

6. Create a directory for your articles, e-books or affiliate programs. You can add your affiliate links in your directories which will lead your customer to your affiliates sales page which in turn will boost your commissions.

These six steps will dramatically increase your traffic and commission checks. Follow them and you will see your business grow dramatically.

Important Facts About Affiliate Marketing

A lot of people who want to make money online believe that affiliate marketing is easy and that you can start to earn money by doing practically nothing.   Believe me, it is one of the easiest ways to make money on line but some work is necessary before you start to see the money come rolling in.  For a Newbie this is the way to get started.

Many of the Newbies have been persuaded by on line advertisers about how easy affiliate marketing is and once they start they are somewhat shocked about everything that is required.  This article tries to give one the real facts about affiliate marketing.

1.Many will tell you that it will cost practically nothing to get going.  Well, it is necessary to invest some money if you really want to earn some big commissions and have a large volume of visitors. You will need to have your own website, an autoresponder and the ability to track the performance of the site. Each of these will require you to spend some money but nothing over approximately $120 to get started.  The place where you will spend the most money is driving volume of traffic to your website.  Usually, this is done through advertising or PPC (Pay Per Click). This is where you need to track performance versus cost so you do not burn through a lot of money.

2. Early on it will take a some hard work and persistence to build your affiliate marketing business.  Early on you will need to write articles or reports that you can use to promote your affiliate links.  This takes time and effort but must be done to be successful.  Blogging and participating in forums as well as writing affiliate product reviews will all add traffic to your site.  There are many marketing related steps you can also do or outsource some of the services. If you are on a small budget, it means you will do most of the work and this will take a little bit of time.  It will allow you to learn directly what works and what does not.

3. With an online business you will need to keep on learning new ways to build your business.  Internet marketing is very dynamic and there are many ways to promote your website.   You will need to keep on learning.  You can use videos, interact with other affiliate marketers or you can find a good mentor.

4. Ultimately, you need to have confidence and faith in yourself. This will help you to keep on working on your business until you become successful and begin to collect commissions.

These are some of the key facts about affiliate marketing. You must fully understand this before you decide to start an effective affiliate marketing business.

3 Gurus Who Know How To Make Money On The Internet

Being a relative novice about blogging and making money online,  I decided to research the internet and find 2-3 Internet Gurus and test their methods for making money online.

After many weeks of looking and reviewing offers on the internet I chose Shawn Casey, Ewen Chia and Jonny Andrews.  Each has been in the business for many years and each has the complete training system for beginners.

Shawn Casey is an attorney by education who after many years in the marketing field with some big companies saw the light and attacked the internet with a passion. He is one of the big Gurus in the industry and has been very successful gathering lists of people and attacking the market via his lists with a new promotion every month or so.  He seems to have the system mastered and is a joy to listen to on his teleseminars.

Much like Shawn, Ewen Chia, a young man from Singapore, has many many years of experience selling his introductory course for beginners.  Ewen's training course for beginners is called AutoPilot Profits.  I will in my later blogs detail some of the pros and cons of each system and the one I like best especially since I am a Newbie.  AutoPilot Profits does fit a Newbie.

Jonny Andrews like the other two has been in this business for 6-8 years and has many top selling on line courses.  His Guru Assassin is a very detailed course with a series of videos and text that is narrated by himself.  Jonny, by far, is the most entertaining of the 3 with his funny sense of humor and his redneck comments.

One thing you will encounter when you sign up with one of the Gurus is the endless free offers and e-mails almost daily.  Being that I did all three at once I was worn out by days end reading all the offers, listening to the teleseminars and trying to get through their courses.
Believe me, I am not complaining.  I would rather have them keep the information coming versus the alternative.

I would also say that each of the offers are relatively inexpensive versus all the videos and training you receive.  There are a lot of offers in the industry that will setup your web site and do most of the work for you at a low cost,  but I wanted to know how to do everything so I could create a business myself and suffer through the learning curve . That way, I could understand the system, really learn by doing and make any changes that I wanted to do in the future.  By the way, the cost for each of these systems/ebooks was only $27-$47 and there were a lot of follow on freebies from each.

In my next blog I will give you some of the best of each system. As I said before,  I think they are all good and easy to understand but some are better in certain areas. Incidently, I did notice that they also promote each others product at some point in time.  If you are really wanting to look at a quick way to get in business I would without hesitation recommend the following:
